Electric Vehicle (EV) is a category of vehicular Ad-hoc network which referred as an electric drive. Electric vehicle use one (or) more electric motors (or) absorbing motor for energy. It contains electric trains, electric airplanes, electric Lorries, electric scooter, electric boat and electric motorcycle. Electric vehicle Omnet++ project is a component based simulation framework to implement vehicular network applications.

Source of Electricity:

Onboard generators:

Onboard are generated and it is used as a fuel cell, nuclear energy and diesel engine.

Onboard storage:

Onboard storage are recharged they are given as electric double layer capacitors, flywheel energy storage and batteries.

A combination of hybrid electric vehicle with electric vehicle is classified into various hybrids and they are series hybrid, power split hybrid and parallel hybrids.

  • Fossil fuel dependency reduced.

  • Fuel efficiency increased.

  • Run on alternative Fuels.

Vein is an open source framework developed by Omnet++ to implement vehicular Network. Vein function is to synchronize SUMO and OMNET++. SUMO acts as a node in Omnet++. Nowadays more number of electric vehicles is developed with more advanced features. Students are more interested to do projects in electric vehicle Omnet++ projects because it provides an analyze and deployment of new electric vehicles in real time world.
